Meet our guitarist Noah!

Noah Rothbard’s passion for music began at an early age when he would constantly tap along to any song, beat, or rhythm he heard.  Eventually that passion transferred to the guitar when at 10 years old he witnessed Angus Young on television live in concert.  The energy, showmanship, and technicality he saw that day triggered something in Noah and he insisted on taking guitar lessons immediately.  Noah was obsessed.  Practicing constantly and learning quickly, his playing caught the attention of the band coach at his music school.  After less than one year of playing he was asked by the coach to join a new band the school was forming, connecting with bandmates JJ and Parker. Together they bonded over their passion for music and performing, ultimately creating the band they share today.

Noah is also a multi-dimensional musician who plays violin and enjoys noodling on the piano and drums. He is a super driven performer that brings his energy and enthusiasm to every show, channeling that inspiring live performance from Angus Young he saw that magic day. In addition to AC/DC, Noah has a wide range of musical influences including Metallica, SlipKnot, and Sublime.  His musical mentor is his good friend and neighbor musician Marco Mendoza, who is an endless source of experience and musical knowledge.  Noah has even been invited to share the stage with Marco on occasion.

Currently, Noah’s guitar collection includes:  Fender Stratocaster Limited Edition, Squier Telecaster, Ibanez Gio, Gretsch Semi-Hollow Bigsby, LTD Les Paul, Fender Acoustic, and a Taylor GS Mini (Koa Wood).  For amplification Noah uses a Fender Blues Jr. 4. For picking Noah is fond of the James Hetfield signature series guitar picks.

Outside of Duct Tape Noah plays goalie for the local water polo club. His team is accredited with winning the junior Olympics in their division and becoming national platinum champions. When Noah is not on the stage or in the pool you can find him surfing, riding his dirt bike, writing music, or participating in his fifth year of the Huntington Beach City Jr. Lifeguard Program. Noah is looking forward to recording Duct Tape's first single later this summer!
